Do you provide locks?
Yes. Five Oaks Self Storage in Punta Gorda provides a coded lock with every new rental. The lock is included with the one time administrative fee when you move into your storage unit.
Each unit is secured with a combination storage lock, so there are no keys to lose. Your lock code is provided to you at move in and stored securely in your tenant portal for easy access. This makes it simple and convenient to access your storage unit in Punta Gorda whenever you need it.

Does anyone else have access to my unit?
You alone control access to your storage unit, unless YOU choose to give someone else access. If you do give someone else access to your unit, it’s important that you provide us their names. You are responsible for your unit and the surroundings, if the person you have given access to damages or causes any problems at the facility, you will be responsible.
How do I get my belongings to my space?
Our units are one level and offer the convenience of drive-up access.
How do I get in and out of the facility?
There is only one gate for entering and exiting the facility. You will need an access code to enter the gate. Drive up to the keypad and punch in your code. When leaving you will exit from the same gate that you entered, drive up to the gate and a sensor will open the gate so you may exit. You must exit the facility in a vehicle for the sensor to open the gate.
How much notice do I need to give you before moving out?
Five Oaks Self Storage requires an 11 day move out notice before vacating your storage unit. This helps us properly schedule the unit for the next customer looking for self storage in Punta Gorda.
When you are ready to move out, simply clear all of your belongings from the unit, sweep it out with a broom and dustpan, and leave the facility lock on the unit. Once you are finished, call or text (941) 281-4141 to let us know you have vacated so we can inspect the unit and close the account in our system.
Please make sure the unit is completely empty and clean. If garbage is left inside or outside the unit, or if there is damage to the storage unit, additional charges may apply. Garbage disposal starts at $50 minimum, with higher charges depending on the amount of trash or damage.

What do I need to bring with me when I come in to rent a unit?
